The Messenger of Allah (SAS) said: "Jibril (AS) kept recommending me to treat my neighbour well until I thought that he would tell me to make him one of my heirs," [Bukhari: 6014]

Unfortunately, many Muslims do not treat their neighbours well, especially neighbours who live near Mosques, and this reflects poorly on us as a community. These neighbours often encounter rude Musalleen who block their driveways, litter, or make noise during the night, especially during Ramadan. In celebration of Eid, and as a gesture of appreciation for our neighbours, we will be packing and distributing sweets in neighbourhoods around several Edmonton Mosques in order to build stronger relationships with our neighbours and demonstrate the true values of our beautiful religion!
