About me
After living in Edmonton for over ten years, it was time for me to give back to my community. I currently volunteer/have volunteered at many different organizations throughout the city. In addition to volunteering, some of my hobbies and interests include playing basketball, playing soccer, watching the UFC, working out, and watching Suits.
About AYA
AYA is an organization for young Muslims to have a positive impact and leave their mark on their community and I'm honored to be a part of it.
Favorite Ayah
"Whoever brings a good deed shall have ten times the like thereof to his credit, and whoever brings an evil deed shall have only the recompense of the like thereof, and they will not be wronged" (Surah 6. Al-An'am, Ayah 160). By telling us that He will tip the scales in our favor by increasing our good deeds tenfold on the day of judgement, Allah demonstrates how much he loves his creation and how willing he is to forgive us. This ayah provides believers with a chance at redemption and a path to get back to Allah no matter what evil deed they have committed, which is why I hold this ayah very close to my heart.
